Black Webbed Flying Tree Frog
The Black Webbed Flying Tree Frog, also known as Rhacophorus reinwardtii, is a unique species of frog known for its ability to glide through the air using webbed feet. To care for these frogs, it is important to provide a spacious enclosure with plenty of branches and foliage for climbing and jumping. Additionally, maintaining high humidity levels and providing a varied diet of insects will help keep these arboreal frogs healthy and happy.
Air temperatures should be kept 70°F with a basking temp of 75°F maximum during the day and slightly cooler at night (60-70°F). It is important to provide a consistent temperature and humidity level to ensure the health and well-being of these arboreal amphibians.
Humidity levels should be kept between 80-100% to mimic their natural rainforest environment. Providing a misting system or regular spraying of the enclosure will help maintain proper humidity levels for the frogs.
Providing a low level of UVB lighting can be beneficial for promoting natural behaviours and overall well-being in captivity.
Feed your arboreal frogs a diet consisting primarily of live insects such as crickets, roaches, and mealworms. It is important to dust their food with a calcium supplement to ensure proper bone health and prevent metabolic bone disease. Overfeeding should be avoided to prevent obesity and other health issues in these delicate amphibians.
