Phelsuma Grandis, also known as the Madagascar giant day gecko, is a species of diurnal gecko native to Madagascar. They have vibrant green coloration and grow up to 30 centimeters in length. These geckos climb trees and are highly active, often basking in the sun or hunting for insects in their natural habitat. They are also known for their loud vocalizations, which can be heard from great distances.

Giant Day Geckos require a tall terrarium with plenty of branches and foliage for climbing and hiding. You should provide UVB lighting and maintain high humidity levels to accurately mimic their natural environment.

Maintain daytime temperatures between 82-88°F (28-31°C) with a slight drop at night. Provide a basking spot of around 90°F (32°C) to help them regulate their body temperature effectively.

Keep humidity levels between 60-80% and mist the enclosure twice a day to maintain proper moisture levels. You must monitor humidity closely to prevent dehydration and shedding issues in Phelsuma Grandis geckos.

Provide a diet consisting of insects such as crickets, mealworms, and waxworms to your Phelsuma Grandis geckos. You should dust their food with calcium and vitamin supplements to ensure they receive proper nutrition. Additionally, you should provide fresh fruits such as mangoes and bananas as occasional treats to diversify their diet and offer additional nutrients.
