Live Food Plant. Lollo Rosso
Temperature: Lollo Rosso lettuce thrives in temperatures between 60 and 70°F (15 and 21°C), making it ideal for cool weather growing conditions. This variety of lettuce is known for its frilly, red-tinted leaves and mild flavour.
Light: Lollo Rosso lettuce requires full sun to partial shade, with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day for optimal growth. It is important to protect the plant from extreme heat, as this can cause the leaves to wilt and lose their vibrant color.
Water: Lollo Rosso lettuce prefers consistently moist soil, so be sure to water regularly to keep the roots hydrated. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot and other issues.
Care/Maintenance: Keep an eye out for pests such as aphids or slugs, and take appropriate measures to control them to ensure the plant’s health.
