Low Snowflake Whites Tree Frog CB24 5-7cm
The White’s tree frog, on average, measures 3-5 inches in length and weighs around 50-90g, making it a relatively large frog originating in Northern and Eastern Australia. This species is known for its vibrant green colouration and distinctive white underside, which helps it blend in with the foliage in its natural habitat. White’s tree frogs are popular as pets due to their docile nature and relatively low maintenance requirements.
White tree frogs come in a variety of colours and patterns, including Snowflake, Albino, Pied, and other morphs. They are known for their calm temperament and ease of handling. These fascinating frogs are also known as “dumpy” tree frogs due to their appearance. They are large and plump frogs as adults.
White tree frogs thrive in arboreal enclosures with plants and sticks to climb on, as it mimics their natural habitat and provides opportunities for exercise and mental stimulation. They require a temperature of around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, a mix of different bio-substrates and fresh water daily.
At Blackpool Reptiles, we provide bioactive enclosures for our Whites Tree frogs. Not only does this mimic their natural habitat and aid in providing correct parameters, but it also provides the frogs with natural enrichment.
The addition of live plants, bark and vines offers places to climb and hide as well as storing water in plant leaves to retain humidity. Bioactive custodians such as springtails and isopods help to clean plant and animal waste.
White’s tree frogs feed on a diet of crickets, earthworms and other worms as a treat: wax worms, mealworms and silkworms.
