Mourning Gecko CB24
A small arboreal forest lizard originating in South and Central America.
Mourning geckos are beautiful lizards which are found in hot and humid plantations and deserts in Central and South America and Hawaii.
Mouring geckos enjoy an arboreal environment with plenty of plants, bark and decor to explore. Unlike many reptiles, Mourning geckos are better kept in pairs or groups and can also be kept in a mixed species tank with anoles and other small lizards/ tree frogs- care should be taken as the geckos skin is soft and may be damaged if bitten by an Anole, fighting can be reduced in a large tank with 2 hot spots and basking sites of equal height.
These Geckos eat both fruit mix and insects, mainly silent crickets and small roaches. Mourning geckos do not digest worms well so they should not be fed. Insects should be dusted with calcium +D3 2-3 times a week.
