General Information: Alocasia micholitziana ‘Frydek’ is a striking plant with dark green, velvety leaves and silvery veins. It is important to avoid overwatering to prevent root rot and maintain the plant’s health. Large sturdy leaves provide rest and drinking ares for many species. Very useful for treefrogs, as they like to rest on the underside of the leaves.
Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity.
