General Information: Gasterias are another desert succulent which you can use in a dry terrarium. They have paired, smooth leaves which gives them a unique appearance. You can plant them in combination with other succulents for a dramatic effect, particularly when you plant them among rocks. Like most desert plants Gasteria needs bright lighting. It requires free draining soil but this species will tolerate some shade. Although drought tolerant they prefer if you water them before the soil dries out, but before they are completely dry.
