A delicate looking creeper the Maidenhair Vine has thin stems which snake over the ground and climb up walls and decor. It can also be planted high in the terrarium so that it hangs down. It needs high humidity and constantly moist soil, but must not be waterlogged.

Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity.
