Temperature: 60–85°F (15–29°C)
Light: Bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water is absorbed through the fronds, and it should be done by placing the plant in a container of water, spraying the plant fully, or running room temperature water through the root ball and then allowing it to drain before hanging.
Care/Maintenance: Remove dead or damaged fronds. Fronds can also be removed if they are overcrowded.

General Information: Platycerium ellisii is also known as the Staghorn Fern. It is an epiphytic plant and you can mount it on a wooden board. This makes it ideal for your pets terrarium. It is native to Australia and thrives in humid environments.
Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity. Just as live plants in an office can improve workers well-being, live plants in a terrarium will have the same effect for animals.
