Vampire Crab Set-up Kit

Blackpool Reptiles Vampire crabs are small, colorful crustaceans that require a semi-aquatic environment to survive. They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae wafers, sinking pellets, and live or frozen foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp. It is important to provide them with plenty of hiding spots in their tank, such as plants, caves, or decorations, as they can be shy and may become stressed if they feel exposed.

Vampire crabs should be kept in a tank with a secure lid to prevent escape, as they are known to be excellent climbers. It is recommended to use a substrate like sand or gravel for them to burrow in and provide decorations like driftwood or rocks for climbing and hiding, creating a more natural and enriching environment. Vampire crabs also benefit from having access to both land and water areas in their tank, as they are semi-terrestrial creatures. Blackpool Reptiles Vampire Crab set-up Kit has been created with this in mind and includes all of the products needed to care for your vampire crab. Along with suiting their care requirements, our set-up kits are also visually appealing and provide enrichment for your pet.

Vampire crabs thrive in temperatures between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit, with a humidity level of around 70-80%. It is essential to provide a heat source to maintain the required temperature range and proper humidity levels to mimic their natural habitat, ensuring their well-being and health. Regular monitoring of the temperature and humidity levels is crucial to prevent any health issues for the vampire crabs, ensuring their long-term well-being.

Vampire crabs are omnivores and should be fed a varied diet that includes plant matter like leafy greens and protein sources such as insects or small crustaceans, ensuring a balanced nutritional intake. It is important to provide a balanced diet to ensure their nutritional needs are met and to prevent any health issues related to deficiencies.

Vampire crabs do not require UVB in the same level that some reptiles do, however natural light can be provided to allow them to maintain a natural day/night cycle.
