Bearded Dragon housing

There are several set-up kits availalable for your dragon. We recommend a large vivarium for hatchling to juvenile dragons, with this being upgraded as they grow. Please contact us to discuss the requirements of your pet bearded dragon.

Bearded Dragon Foods

There are a range of prepared and live bearded dragon foods. You should aim to provide a mixed diet for your dragon as this is the best way to keep them healthy. Worms should be fed as a treat and the main parts of your dragons diet should contain leafy veg, locusts, crickets, roaches and other live foods. Take care not to over feed your dragon as this can cause health issues. If you want to speak to us about your dragons diet, please contact us.

Lighting products

There are many lighting products available and it is important to know which are suitable for your bearded dragon. UVB can be offered in a selection of tubes, compact UVB is not suitable for dragons as it does not provide the correct surface area of light that they need.

Heating products

There are many heating products available and it is important to know which are suitable for your dragon. Bearded Dragons require heat in the form of a bulb or ceramic. Mats and cables can be used to provide additional heat during the colder months but should not be used as the main heat source. Heat mats should only be used in kits that have a built in area for them.

Dragon Healthcare

Bearded Dragons require Calcium +D3 supplement which keeps their bones strong. This can be added to their food several times a week and works alongside their UVB to keep your pet dragon healthy.

There are also vitamins, critical care treatments and other additives which are beneficial for your pet.

Healthcare products are available which can be used to treat scrapes and minor injuries which aid in keeping your pet healthy.

Bowls & Dishes

Dragons require a large water bowl so that they can soak in it if they choose. Dragons are able to absorb water through the cloaca to aid in hydration. During a soak, your dragon will likely use that time to go to the bathroom so the bowl should be flat enough for the dragon to get in and out of but deep enough for it to sit in. Ramps and slate can be used to provide access if required.

Caves & Hides

Bearded Dragons like to bask openly during the day, however there are times such as shedding, sleeping and cooling off where they enjoy some time under a hide. There are many hides available for Dragons, we suggest getting larger caves as your dragon grows and placing multiple caves or hides per tank to allow them to explore.
