Light: full sun, at least 6 hours per day.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
Care/Maintenance: Feed with insects or fish food every 2-4 weeks during the growing season. Remove dead pitchers to encourage new growth.

ProRep Live plant. Sarracenia Sp Medium
General Information: Native to North America, Sarracenia Sp Medium are carnivorous and require high humidity levels to thrive. They are commonly known as pitcher plants due to their tubular leaves that trap insects. Sarracenia Sp Medium plants prefer acidic soil and you can grow them in containers or bog gardens.
Care needs to be taken to prevent over feeding of these plants. For the beginner it recommended to not feed the plants with fertiliser. They will get plenty of nutrition from the insects they trap. You won’t need to feed adult Sarracenia unless you are growing indoors. They can be fed dropping a bit of fish food, cricket parts or meal worms down an open tube once a month.
Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity. Just as live plants in an office can improve workers well-being, live plants in a terrarium will have the same effect for animals.
