Snakes are one of the most popular reptile pets.

There are many species of snake which are kept as pets and most of the products are suitable for all types of snakes.

Our “shop by pet” section allows you to view products related to your pet, however they can also be used for other reptiles, birds and mammals.

Snake housing

There are several set-up kits availalable for your snake depending on species and age. We recommend a growing your enclosure with your pet starting at a hatchling or starter kit, with this being upgraded as they grow. Please contact us to discuss the requirements of your pet snake.

Snake Food

There are many different frozen food types which can be defrosted slowly and offered to your snake. If your snake has heat pits such as reticulated pythons, dip the prey item in some hot water before offering it to your snake. Be sure to shake the hot drips off before offering it to your snake. Lighting products

There are many lighting products available and it is important to know which are suitable for your snake. UVB can be offered in a selection of tubes, compact UVB is not suitable for snakes as it does not provide the correct surface area of light that they need. Snakes generally require a low level UVB rating but this is dependent on species. If you have questions about the correct UVB for your snake, please contact us.

Heating products

There are many heating products available and it is important to know which are suitable for your snake. Depending on which kit you choose there are different ways to heat. If you choose a hatchling kit then it may sit on a heat mat or strip whereas if you have a vivarium you would need a ceramic lamp or heat bulb.

Bowls & Dishes

Snakes require a large water bowl as there are times, such as during shedding, that they like to soak. Always supply fresh water for your snake, this is important as they may use their water bowl as a toilet.

Snakes spend a large amount of their time exploring caves and hiding places in the wild. We recommend adding multiple hides to your snakes enclosure. This will not only provide security to the snake but will also give them enrichment.
