Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures. Avoid exposing to extreme heat or cold as it may damage the plant.
Light: Requires bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light can cause stunted growth.
Water: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, but be careful not to overwater as this can lead to root rot. It’s best to use room temperature water to avoid shocking the plant.
Care/Maintenance: Mist the plant occasionally to increase humidity, especially during dry winter months.

ProRep Live plant. Asplenium antiquum (Small)
General Information: This plant is a popular choice for indoor spaces due to its low maintenance requirements and ability to thrive in various light conditions. It grows on cliffs and rocks in damp forests in Japan and its a bright and refreshing addition to the forest terrarium.
Birds Nest Fern is an epiphyte which looks stunning when planted high up in the terrariumin a pocket of soil in rocks or a fork in a branch. It can also be tied to a branch with moss around its roots to hold soil. If planted in soil then it needs a rich soil which will hold moisture but does not waterlog. This fern dislikes hard water and alkaline conditions. Although it starts small it can eventually reach 30cm in height so be sure to allow plenty of growing space.
Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity. Just as live plants in an office can improve workers well-being, live plants in a terrarium will have the same effect for animals.
