Temperature: 60-75°F (15-24°C). It is important to avoid extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent stress on the plant.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light conditions
Water: Water schefflera arboricola when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch
Care/Maintenance: Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot. Overwatering can lead to yellowing leaves and other signs of stress. Prune regularly to maintain shape and size.

General Information: The umbrella tree, is a popular houseplant known for its lush foliage and easy care requirements. It is native to Australia and can grow up to 50 feet tall in the wild. In the terrarium it is an excellent plant for animals such as chameleons.
Apart from the aesthetic appeal of a planted terrarium there are some very real, tangible benefits for the animals. Living plants provide natural cover and climbing perches, shade, basking sites and maintain natural humidity.
